Version consent-v1.
Who is responsible
Versari AI, LLC, 3345 Lemp Ave, Saint Louis, MO 63118-3214. Privacy requests: info@versari.ai.
What we collect when you subscribe
Your email address, the topics you ticked (if any), and two tags saying you signed up on this page and which version of this notice you saw. Buttondown, our newsletter provider, also records the signup, confirmation and unsubscribe dates, plus the IP address and referrer of your signup. Open and click tracking is off.
Why, and on what basis
To send you the newsletter, based on your consent: the click in the confirmation email. You can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every issue.
Who receives it
- The project maintainer.
- Buttondown and its listed subprocessors, as processors underButtondown's DPA.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site and sees standard request logs.
- Plausible (hosted in the EU), our analytics. It receives each page view: the address without its query string, the referrer, and your IP address and browser User-Agent. From those it derives approximate location (country, region, city), browser, operating system and device type, and a visitor hash that changes every day. It stores event and session records with those derived fields, not your raw IP address or User-Agent. We only see aggregate reports. Retention: TBD.
Transfers outside the EU
We (Versari AI, LLC) and Buttondown are both in the US, so if you subscribe from the EU or UK, your data is processed in the US. Buttondown's DPA includes standard contractual clauses for its processing; ask us for a copy.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: one reminder email after 24 hours, then permanently deleted after 30 days. TBD: confirm hard deletion with Buttondown.
- After you unsubscribe: a suppression record, so you aren't added again by mistake, kept for TBD, unless you ask for erasure.
- Erasure on request: permanent deletion at Buttondown within 30 days of your request.
- Provider backups: up to TBD days.
What can't be undone
Emails that were already sent, and backups until they expire.
